WHO KNEW?  WEIRD, WACKY & WONDERFUL

1/22/2016

No matter what anyone says, stay weird.

Ah, yes, words to live by, at least according to a cute eight-year-old I bumped into earlier this morning, courtesy of CBC Radio.  I liked the young man’s sage advice on aging gracefully particularly given time has done such weird things to my body, my mind, and my friends.  That's right; no one is immune when it comes to weird.

Click on the Read More Button below to see the adorable eight-year-old (he’s the one wearing the Viking helmet, complete with horns), and people of all ages, offering words of wisdom to their younger counterparts in this endearing farewell video from CBC Radio’s Wire Tap Radio One program.
Weird is good!  That had to be Sarah Palin’s mantra right before her 30-minute, rant-riddled endorsement of Donald Trump for president earlier this week.

Girlfriend, what were you thinking?  There’s weird, and then there’s wacky weird.

“She looked like Sarah Palin doing Tiny Fey doing Sarah Palin.”

Wish I could take credit for that succinct synopsis, but Megha Sharma beat me to the punch.  Her YouTube comments and those of 2,577 others provided lively dialogue following the posting of Stephen Colbert’s hilarious commentary (The Original Material Girl Is Back) of Palin’s newsworthy event.
With all that material to go around, no surprise the Daily Show’s Trevor Noah joined the Palin party, performing his own brand of civic duty, focusing on Palin’s blatant disregard for the English language.

"It's not even human," Noah said of Palin’s speech.  "It's like the only thing Sarah Palin hates more than Obama is punctuation."

But enough of Palin and politics; how about some bubbles instead of bubbleheads; some wonderfully weird, beautiful soap bubbles with just enough magic and mystery in the dead of winter to encourage curiosity.

Love the freezing soap bubbles. Reminds me of your icy windows in an earlier post.

The bubbles were the best thing on the blog.
Especially after Palin and Colbert! UGH
