We did find our way to Mallory Square, along with the hundreds of other snow birds, tourists, and natives intent on witnessing this most magical of disappearing acts, the setting sun.
All manner of excitement was in the air.
The buskers had set up shop up and down the waterfront.
And just as suddenly the birds took to the sky in mass as the sun slipped behind the haze hugging the horizon.
A cheer emanated from the crowd, undoubtedly encouraged by the melody of Louis Armstrong’s, What a Wonderful World playing to the spectacle out at sea.
It was indeed a wonderful world, a sunset like none other.
