Apparently those unwritten rules of social etiquette need publication. Maybe a friendly reminder during the pre-flight safety spiel would do the trick for those more socially inept. Then again, most passengers have the attention span of seniors poised to graduate high school when it comes to lectures.
Maybe a little flyer (certainly an appropriate medium for conveying the message on airplanes, don’t you think) tacked to the seat back highlighting the dos and don’ts of airplane etiquette would help to silence the conversationalist.
You know the type; they give new meaning to the term non-stop.
I could go on venting in my misery-loves-company vein, piling up paragraphs about all my pet peeves when it comes to flying. But where’s the fun in that!
