rattling the trees and my sleep. It felt good to be outside yesterday, summer’s scorching heat abated, the sunlight at the end of the day soft tendrils of warmth tickling my bare arms.
I can’t say I’ll miss summer this year; she’s been beyond bearable. Of course, Jim and I seldom let a little heat get in the way of fun. I remember sweating through the Butterfly in Bloom exhibit at Chicago Botanic Gardens as the temperature soared inside that pavilion; Denver’s low humidity was the only saving grace when my father, brother and I explored the Kizuna: West Meets East extraordinary exhibit at Denver's Botanic Gardens in scorching heat. And the only way Jim and I made it through the sizzling afternoon at Lockport was when we stumbled upon the restaurant and bar that's now a personal favorite.
Today’s Fun Fotos are personal favorites too. Quench your thirst for levity while I greet this fine day with renewed vigor and the promise of fall.
