Granted, by no means am I complaining about all that life. I just want to make the most of what the good Lord has in mind for me.
I certainly have a new appreciation for what Christ’s suffering means to me as a Christian on this Good Friday having walked the cobblestone alleyways of Jerusalem’s Via Dolorosa (Latin for the “Way of the Suffering”) less than a week ago.
The Bible came alive, too, during our pilgrimage to the Holy Land as we traveled the Land of Goshen, tracing the route of the Biblical Exodus; when we visited Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount; as we sailed on the Sea of Galilee; when we visited Tabgha, the site of the miracle of the loaves and fishes.
It’s a miracle Jimmy and I survived our pilgrimage. Two weeks of twelve-hour days of non-stop touring is not for the faint of heart; lots of life in those twelve-hour days.
I’m thoroughly enjoying a little routine this morning – a quiet start to the day, familiar surroundings, and some Fun Fotos for your viewing pleasure on this holiest of Fridays! Peace be with you.
