Our airport run last night went into the wee hours of the morning when my grandson Nathan’s plane was delayed three hours. To add insult to injury (his plane arrived at 1:30 am) his luggage got left behind in Denver. An hour later, with the necessary paperwork completed, we headed home.
Gone are the days when 4 am bedtimes were the culmination of a wild evening of fun with even wilder friends. Gone is pretty much the status for 2013, too. I’m as fuzzy when it comes to the last twelve months as I am with the last twelve hours. It’s all pretty much a blur. I guess it’s time for a new prescription for my glasses.
It is time for a break. I hope you won’t begrudge me the next two weeks off while Jimmy and I enjoy some holiday cheer with friends and family. We’re going to do a few more airport runs ourselves during those two weeks, flying hither and yonder given three of our five children have scattered like dandelions in the wind.
Meanwhile, until January 6th, 2014 rolls around, I hope the holiday season brings you much joy and peace. I always try to lower my expectations and raise the roof to make the most of not only the holidays, but each new day.
This day wouldn't be complete without my final Fun Fotos for 2013. Enjoy!
